Andrew Bynum had a successful knee operation

Los Angeles center Andrew Bynum had a successful arthroscopic surgery to repair partially torn ligament in his knee in New York.

The tear in his meniscus was discovered during the Laker’s first-round series against Oklahoma City but Bynum refused to miss out the postseason and postponed the surgery to a later date. Although the knee injury and a strained Achilles’ tendon limited his movement he was still able to contribute 8.6 points and 6.9 rebounds during the postseason games of Lakers.

Bynum said that his recovery time was expected to be short although the Lakers released a news that he will be available on a limited basis when training camp opens on September 25. Los Angeles will open their camp earlier than usual in their preparation for exhibition games in Barcelona and London.

The Lakers are expecting Bynum to recover fully before the start of the regular season.

It's very calm over here, why not leave a comment?
