Another Nuggets player is reportedly on the trading block. Guard J.R. Smith have limited future with the team who got him from Chicago Bulls.

US uses a 2-3 zone defense in the closing seconds to eked out an 86-85 win over Spain in a warmup game for the world championships.
The decision to go to the zone defense as suggested by assistant coach Jim Boeheim to go “Orange” for the last play caught Spain off-guard after Derrick Rose put the Americans ahead with two free throws. (more…)

According to Sports Illustrated, Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony is open to long-term deals with either the Houston Rockets or New jersey Nets if they can work out a trade with the Nuggets.
In recent days, Anthony has been rumored to be traded to New York Knicks in line with the indication that he will not sign extension with the Nuggets. His contract with the Nuggets runs until 2010-11 season and he is not expected to exercise his player option for 2011-12. (more…)

Will Carmelo Anthony still play for Denver Nuggets or maybe he has already played his last game for the Nuggets ?
Anthony can opt out of his contract after the upcoming season and become the headliner of the 2011 free-agent class or he could play out the final two years of his contract.
He could also be dealt before the season starts if team owner Stan Kroenke decides to jump-start a rebuilding program or might choose to deal the face of his franchise at the February trade deadline, too. (more…)

LeBron James was spotted on Monday at Cleveland area amusement park Cedar Point with Savannah Brinson.
While at the park, and in front of dozens of parkgoers, James decide to take his talent to Cedar Point’s basketball shooting games. In unfortunate event, he failed to convert a couple of shots and resulting to heckling by onlookers. (more…)

Trevor Ariza of Houston Rockets was acquired by New Orleans Hornets in a four-team, five-player trade that also sends point guard Darren Collison to Indiana Pacers.
Collison was a first-round pick in 2009 and Chris Paul’s backup with the Hornets who also became a starter when Paul went down with a knee injury. (more…)

Shane Mosley, former welterweight champion and 5 feet 8 inches tall defeated Boston Celtics 7’1″ center Shaquille O’Neal in an exhibition match via a unanimous decision.
The five round exhibition match drew constant cheers from an appreciative and entertained crowd. Mosley pulled away in the later rounds to defeat the Diesel who’s been bullying and hovering the much smaller Shane Mosley. (more…)

It’s final, Tracy McGrady, a Seven-time NBA All-Star reached an agreement with Detroit Pistons for a one-year, $1.3 million contract.
He was able to impressed Pistons president Joe Dumars, head coach John Kuester and the rest of the training staff in a workout late last week. (more…)

LeBron James finally able to thanked his Cleveland fans during his annual “King for Kids” charity bike-a-thon in downtown Akron where he addressed a friendly crowd of several hundreds who cheered him as he took the podium.
James was quoted as saying “To the city of Cleveland, my fans in Cleveland, my fans in northeast Ohio, I want to say thank you for the last seven years and the years that continue to go in the future.” (more…)

Detroit Pistons according to its General Manager Joe Dumars is currently in a discussion with Tracy McGrady for a one-year deal if McGrady agrees to take the minimum salary of $1.35 million.
McGrady, who made $23.2 million with the Houston Rockets and New York Knicks, has recently tried out with the Chicago Bulls. Unfortunately, Bulls instead signed Keith Bogans. (more…)

Shannon Brown turned down more lucrative offers and agrees to a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers for a shot at a third straight championship.
The high-flying free agent guard agreed to a two-year deal worth $4.6 million to return for his third season with Lakers according to Brown’s agent, Mark Bartelstein. (more…)

An NBA source told Yahoo! Sports that Shaquille O’Neal is close to signing with the Boston Celtics.
O’Neal, 38, could help fill the Celtics’ void by their starting center Kendrick Perkins. Perkins is expected to be sidelined until January after having a surgery on his right knee while Rasheed Wallace is contemplating of retiring.
The Celtics have already signed Jermaine O’Neal who could play either center or power forward. With the entry of Shaquille O’Neal, the Celtics will have a big and deep frontline that includes Kevin Garnett, Glen Davis, rookies Luke Harangody and former second round pick Semih Erden.
Last season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Shaquille O’Neal averaged 12.2 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 53 games.
In his appearance on the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” show, Shaquille O’Neal hinted at his interest in playing for Boston saying “Celtics would be a good program”.
