Tiger Woods officially divorced, focus on golf

Tiger and Elin Woods are officially divorced. Less than six years after tying the knot and nine months after an early morning, single-car accident led to a nearly unprecedented wave of scandalous stories of infidelity.

They will share parenting responsibilities for their two children, a 3-year-old daughter and a 19-month-old son.

The couple filed for divorce in Bay County Circuit Court in Panama City, Fla. No terms were released but the thought of Elin receiving a nine-figure sum is most likely although probably less than the eye-popping $750 million that some earlier reported. (more…)

92nd US PGA Championship Update: Watney leads (Live)

Going into the 3rd round, Nick Watney is still on top of the leaderboard at 14-under followed by Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy with 10-under in the 2nd round of the 92nd US PGA Championship at Whistling Straits, Kohler, Wisconsin.

Tiger Woods is 3-under tied in 31st place while Phil Mickelson, his main rival in the World ranking, is 1-under and currently tied in 48th place.

The 2nd round of the 92nd US PGA Championship is just starting. The current leaders were Matt Kuchar with 8-under followed by Nick Watney with 7-under, Jason Dufner, Bryce Molder, and Dustin and Zach Johnson all at 5-under.

Tiger Woods tie at 78th, Mahan wins Firestone Invitational

Hunter Mahan won his first World Golf Championship title by winning the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational plus a spot on the U.S. Ryder Cup team.

Mahan, who won the title by two-strokes over Ryan Palmer, ran off five birdies on the front nine to take the lead to finish at 6-under 64. This is the second time that he won this year, the first victory was at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. (more…)

Tiger Woods Continues Struggle at Firestone (Video Inside)

After the third round at the WGC-Firestone Invitational Tournament, Woods is still struggling after shooting his worst score ever with a 5-over-par 75.

Woods is now in a position to post his worst finish over 72 holes since his first tournament as a pro.

According to Sports Illustrated’s SI.com, Tiger Woods still claimed to be the number 1 top earning athlete for the seventh consecutive year.

Louis Oosthuizen new British Open 2010 Champion

Without a doubts and with lots of confidence, Louis Oosthuizen won the game’s oldest and most coveted title by seven shots which he previously missed the cut in five previous attempts.

Oosthuizen posted three straight rounds of 60s, including a 3-under 69 Saturday that gave the rest of the field plenty of work to do trying to chase down his 15-under 201.

The Open 2010: Tiger Woods needs miracle

With the current situation that Tiger Woods is in right now, he really needs a miracle to become the first man to win three British Opens at St. Andrews.

To achieve such goal, Tiger Woods needs to continue to strike the ball well, improve his putting, since he still has problems with his new putter and with the hope that current leaders will stumble and stall.
