A rematch of the 2009 Fight of the Year between Juan Manuel Marquez and Juan Diaz II will take place on an HBO pay-per-view event on July 31 at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas for the World Boxing Council/World Boxing Organization lightweight titles.
Juan Manuel Marquez, considered one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in boxing after Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr, is favored to win this match.
Juan Diaz with a record of 35-3, 17 KOs is not a push over. He is a smart kid that never backs down from a fight. He has proven this is his previous fight against Paulie Malignaggi. The exciting fights between this two protagonists will be a great nightcap.
Other supporting fights scheduled are Daniel Jacobs vs. Dmitry Pirog, Jorge Linares vs. Rocky Juarez and Joel Casamayor vs. Robert Guerrero.
